About us
Founded in 2009, Read-Cycling (IR No 91/10408) is one of a very few charities in Hong Kong dedicated to books and book lovers.
We have been working hand-in-hand with like-minded organisations, schools, corporations and individuals in the past 15 years to bring a second life to used books.
We are also committed to organising cultural activities in various formats with an aim to make reading an essential part of everyday life.
Since 2009, Read-Cycling has received over 233,100 quality used books from book donors all over Hong Kong, helping more than 190,000 of them find new homes and thus, saved more than 1,900 trees.
Pro Library
A warehouse doubled as a community reading room,
PPO Library stocks over 20,000 quality used books of diverse interests for all ages. The books are sold at around 1/3 of the original price. All proceeds will be used to support our Free Books Programs for needy communities.
Bring A Book & Share
Our annual readers’ carnival “Bring A Book & Share” has over 10,000 quality used books
in English and Chinese for book lovers to treasure hunt, or simply enjoy their company.
All books are sold at approximately 1/3 of the original price.
